This is just a quick snippet that I thought some of you might be able to benefit from, especially those on a bit of a budget this holiday season (I mean, who isn’t).

Originally I was going to make my holiday cards this year. I thought that a handmade postcard might be kind of cute to get in the mail and, if done properly, might be cute on a holiday display of some sort. Then I remembered that I’m a writer who went to art school and I remember learning very quickly that I have no knack for paper crafting.

Shutterfly.com to the rescue! I saw a post on Facebook from one of my friends that Shutterfly would give 50 free holiday photo cards to bloggers who would blog about this crazy-awesome deal. Now if you were able to plan ahead properly and already had your holiday cards, Shutterfly also has photo mugs or calendars.
